Oh my goodness . . . . 6 months is SUCH a fantastic age! Our little fella is SO much fun! Last night for the first time he sat by himself for an extended period of time while playing with a couple toys. I couldn't believe it because he's such a squirmer (I thought he may actually crawl before he sat). But, the other change I've seen lately is that he's much more interested in all of his toys now . . . so that kept him focused (and nice and balanced - LOL!). So . . . shabam . . . he sat! :) Also, it used to be that I would press the buttons to make the toys sing or talk or whatever and now RJ's VERY interested in doing it all by himself (and of course still put anything in his mouth that he can too!). He's really able to use his hands better than ever before to open things, push, etc. It's pretty cool to see this change! :)
The other thing he did yesterday and last night was when he went to break his sitting position forward, he caught himself with his arms and knees which just so happens is the 1st real time I've seen him get in the perfect form crawling position on his own (I put him there a lot, but it's far from the same). I told Rob this morning (he's in CA returning this evening - yeah!) . . it was like a light bulb went off in his little head (I could see it in his eyes) . . . like "Humm . . . this is interesting . . . humm . . . I might could move like this Mama!" So, we'll see. . . . now that crawling is the next step . . . I'm not sure I'm ready! LOL! We live in a tri-level and RJ's room is the middle floor . . . and we're just not all that sure how that's gonna work out with the crawling . . . . but we'll figure it out!
This is SUCH a great age - we're enjoying watching him grow mentally, physically & spiritually with each passing day! :)
