Over the weekend our little guy discovered the word "banana" and continued to use it a lot . .. consuming 2 bananas on Sat and 2 on Sunday! And let's just say he has no interest in eating them in small bit size pieces anymore . . .he insists on eating them in big hand held chunks and stuffing them into his mouth (beautiful!)! Also, this weekend in attempts to get him to eat something other than a banana he proceeded to eat an entire pear - skin and all (I helped him figure out the core was off basis). It was hilarious . . . the pear was as big as his head really . . .he loved it and was a BIG oh mess! :) He had another one today for lunch . . .I should have taken a picture . . .it was WAY funny! He's getting to be SUCH a big boy!
In other news . . . he graduated (with honors of course!) from swim class on Friday and as a reward got to go down the big, twisty water slide with his mommy! It was lots of fun and he only started to think about crying at the end and then it was over . . so no crying (he's a big boy I tell you)! He won the award for the class's biggest cheerleader - there were times he about drowned himself trying to clap for everyone when they went under the water! He was also always on cue for giving the teacher a "hi-five" whenever needed! :)
RJ's good friend Josslyn came over for dinner on Saturday night and he practiced more on the concept of sharing . . . I think there may be a lot more room for growth here! :) Thanks Josslyn for helping RJ out here!
Other words that RJ likes to say . . . DaDa, MaMa, cheese, shoes, PaPaw, more, down and oh!! Each day we're learning more and more that he understands WAY more than we give him credit for but doesn't always vocalize it! LOL! :) He cracks us up over and over and sometimes even throws his head back and cracks up at himself . . . it's HILARIOUS!
