Lesson 1 - Hold Your Head Up High RJ!!

We have lots to tell everyone and lots to catch everyone up on . . . and we'll be doing that over the next few days. Also, we're working on RJ's March photo show (better late than never!) But, I just had to post an entry to let the whole world know that Mummy's precious little RJ held his head up all on his own today for what seemed like forever (I finally had to put him back on his back)!! It's his first real major physical break through (there have been others that we'll catch you up on soon)!! :)

Yes, he has turned his head several times from side to side while on "tummy time," and we knew he was a strong little fella the way he pulled his head up and moved his arms and legs, and he's been holding it up and then dropping it or leaning it against his Mummy's hand, etc. for quite some time. But today . . . Mummy had nothing to do with it . . . and he didn't drop his head at all (granted he was screaming and that gave him lots of strength!). But, it's official - HE CAN HOLD HIS HEAD UP!!

I just explained to our little man what this means . . . it gives him SO many more options to learn the wonderful world around him . . . SO many more options of things to play with, etc. Mummy has already pulled his little seat out to get ready for "seat" play time (in fact Rob is working in CA and this was the only way to take the photos that are soon to come!)!! Mummy can't wait (and she's sure RJ feels the same)!!

My goodness . . . it's very exiting to see such progression . . . wait 'til he does something really significant in life . . . Rob and I may need to rent the Good Year blimp! LOL! :)

And yes I will be that parent gleaming from ear to ear when he hits his first homerun, pitches his first no hitter, makes his first touchdown, etc. Oh so much more pride to come with Mummyhood! Can't wait! :)
