What he's doing at 7 months old:
1) Rolling, rolling and more rolling . . . he eyes something across the room that he wants and proceeds to roll all the way there to get it! I asked him to come to me a couple weekends ago and he proceeded to roll right to me (although it could have been a coincidence!)!
2) Feeding himself rice crackers
3) Prefers to drink using straw versus a sippy cup
4) Bangs things together - toys, the high chair pretty much anything to make a noise and show his new hand/eye coordination
5) Makes sounds like no tomorrow (jabbers lots!) - testing out his voice in many ways (including some very high pitched screeches) - including what sometimes sounds like "Ma Ma, Da Da, Hi and most recently banana!"
6) Laughing, laughing and more laughing!
7) Loves it when mom sings "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and does all the hand motions!
8) Loves splashing himself in the lake and the bath tub
9) Goes to sleep by himself at night with no crying very regularly and sleeps from about 7:30pm - 6:00am! :)
10) Does NOT like to get his mouth and hands washed off after eating!
11) Likes(and has had no negative reactions)pretty much all the food he's tried so far - cereals (rice and oatmeal), fruits and veggies including a few unusual items - zucchini, avocado, acorn squash, etc. (and yes even peas!)
12) Stands on his own while holding on to the couch, a toy or a table - even a few seconds on his own last night! :)
13) He understands that if you push a certain button on a toy it makes a certain sound (and keeps doing it over and over - LOL!!)
14) Reaches his arms out for us to pick him up
15) Starting to understand "no!" since we're having to use it a lot (he's mobile now!)
