Baby Boy Robinson - in position and ready to deliver . . . heart rate 140.
Mommy Robinson - gained a full 35 lbs up to this point, blood pressure good, 3cms dilated and 80% effaced (yes he may just fall on out). The doc stripped the membranes and manualy separated the amniotic sac from the lower part of my uterus. This is supposed to cause the release of prostagladins, which may further ripen my cervix and possibly get contractions going. It is supposed to possibly start labor within the next few days. I read an article just this week that "Many moms-to-be find this procedure uncomfortable or even painful, although the discomfort is short-lived." and I have to agree 100% . .. I about went through the roof (and jokingly asked her if I could have an epidural yet?!)! But all in the joy of motherhood . . . made it through.
Daddy Robinson - lost 1 lbs.
